Adrian Stevens

I'm COO at Root, where I lead operations, go-to-market, and developer relations. I work across strategy and execution, from deciding what matters to building the systems that get it done.

I've spent more than 20 years in tech. I led the curriculum team at Xamarin University and, after Microsoft's acquisition, became a Principal Engineering Manager on Microsoft Learn, where our developer training reached millions of people. At Google, I ran content strategy for Google Cloud. I've also spoken at Microsoft Build and Ignite and taught hundreds of live technical sessions.

I still build software, including apps that run on Root. I also created Meadow.Foundation, an open source .NET library for the Meadow IoT platform from Wilderness Labs. These days, much of my building happens through AI agents. I'm exploring how that changes engineering, operations, and the way teams work.

I care about helping people turn their skills and ideas into something of their own. AI is accelerating how we build, even as the industry cuts jobs. I believe it's an incredible equalizer and I'm passionate about helping people create and innovate.

My capacity is limited, but I'm always open to a conversation with current or future tech founders.
